Pancreatic enzymes are essential in the process of breaking down carbohydrates, proteins and fats in to smaller molecules in order to make it easier for the body to absorb them. Protzym forte enzyme formula has a mixture of 15 proteolytic enzymes as well as other synergistic nutrients, helping the pancreas properly digest and absorb food.

Proteolytic enzymes are naturally present in many unprocessed foods, and studies show that most of these enzymes are absorbed in the intestine to varying degrees, and remain active after entering the circulatory system. Absorption tends to be better in the absence of protein-containing foods. Fresh, uncooked foods, especially fruits and vegetables are good sources of biologically active enzymes. However, processing, storage and cooking destroy the enzymes and some scientists believe that the modern way of eating is causing a general enzyme deficiency.
